Freeman kidnapped by Gardai for tagging election posters:WANTED FOR TREASON

By: Patrick: O’Connell – The Star, 25 Feb

“Colin Walsh, arrested for defacing election posters yesterday challenged gardai: “Arrest the bankers and politicians who wrecked this country instead.” Colin, from Dun Laoghaire was arrested in Tullamore last Friday after he and a friend were caught tagging Fianna Fail, Fine Gael, Sinn Fein and Labour candidates’ posters with the words: “Wanted for Treason.”

Yesterday Colin said he felt his arrest was a waste of Garda resources at a time when politicians and bankers are wealthier than ever.  “The state of affairs in this country is appalling,” Colin told The Star. “We have been completely sold out by the bankers and politicians and the idea that voting for another party will make a difference is a joke.  Fianna Fail, Fine Gael, there isn’t any difference for me; I have absolutely no confidence in any of them. “Year in, year out the people in this country have been voting for the same puppets and it isn’t working. These political parties have accepted an IMF bailout that we just can’t afford. You don’t fix debt with more debt and just add interest on top. They brought this country to its knees. If we had any guts we would have defaulted like Iceland”

Wanted for Treason: Entire Political System

Colin was arrested by Gardai at 5:30 am in Tullamore on Friday last as he and his pal were spraying WANTED FOR TREASON on their 20th poster of the morning.  His mother yesterday said she was told by gardai her son was in “serious trouble” as he had been arrested for “criminal damage”. “The arresting garda told me Colin would face an individual charge of criminal damage for each election poster,” she told The Star. “To be honest, I think the whole thing was a complete waste of Garda resources. I am actually quite proud of Colin; he was expressing his point of view at a time when he is being denied a vote in what is probably the most important election in the country’s history.”

Colin, who is not a member of any political grouping but who yesterday, expressed admiration for groups like We are Change & Tír na Saor said his arrest won’t stop him from tagging other posters. “I just hope people take notice and the message we are trying to get across sinks in”

Here is the video of Colin and his mates tagging posters last week. Fair play brother.
